Inspiration

In this section I’d like to dive into some personal stuff in regard to where I get my inspiration from.

Obviously, nobody really understands where an idea comes from. It pops up and either you do something with it, or you don’t. For me, most of the questions I find intriguing, have to do with us human beings. You know the questions so many of us pose ourselves:

Where do we come from? Where do we go? What is our purpose here in this life? Can this questions be solved at all? Are people who report being in contact with other realms or entities (elemental beings, ETs, angels, the deceased, God, prophets, astral beings, ghosts, ascended masters, …) nuts? Or is our scientifically oriented society nuts for disregarding the wealth of knowledge that comes from elsewhere? Why do musicians dedicate an entire life to hardship (practising), hardship (not earning a lot of money) and hardship (being on stage and sometimes playing for only three people), if there is literally no evolutionary gain they get out of this activity? Why do philosophers do the same? Why are there countless authors, painters, sculptors, dancers and so on who dedicate their lives to beauty, grace and expression, if all we are is a collection of cells born out of a meaningless universe by chance?

These are fundamental question for me. And from a young age on I have tried to find answers to such questions.

My biggest hope from my teenager years on was to find a teacher, who could live up to what I was looking for. Alas, this was no easy task. I was probably on the lookout for the Hollywood version of a teacher, maybe slightly influenced by movie I loved, when I was a teenager: Remo.

I did find many teachers I admired, each of them really good in their respective fields. But the goal of finding a teacher who really knew about this place called Planet Earth remained unfulfilled. So in way, I wrote a book about the teachers I was hoping to find. And today this book is a book series.

So for those interested in such personal ramblings, here is a list of thinkers that have influenced me in one way or another and whose thoughts I have integrated into my books in one way or another. We are all constantly influenced by other people, by what we read and watch and hear, so it’s difficult to say where my inspiration came from, but the list of people below certainly contributed to my worldview as it stands today.

Franz Bardon, with his systematic approach of cultivating new abilities.

Rudolf Steiner, with his contributions to education, medicine, philosophy.

John Fowles, especially with his masterpiece: The Magus.
