Glossary – The Profound
In this glossary words and concepts used frequently in The Profound can be looked up and maybe understood better. For more in-depth discussions on certain topics please go to the section The Philosophy of TP (The Profound).
Achubiad (Eryrod yr Achubiad)
The Saving Eagles. An department of the Cymdeithas founded by Ali, a Turkish member of the Cymdeithas many centuries ago. They are responsible for the rescue and defence of clan members. The Achubiad undergo strict, intensive training, admission to which is granted only to those who can fall asleep whilst flying. Achubiad City is their main base at Point P 37, near Ireland in the Atlantic Ocean. (They are commonly referred to as the Achubiad, even though the correct name would be Achubwyr.)
Amddiffynnydd
Department of the Cymdeithas under the leadership of Luan Blakter. Responsible for all defence measures, where the Achubiad can no longer help.
Angylion gwarcheidiol
Welsh for “Guardian Angels.”
Artistiaid
Department of the Cymdeithas under the leadership of Giulia Rosler. Responsible for all artistically oriented projects.
Bjechtra
Capital of the Free Dwarves.
Brecknür-Spot
An exit from Achubiad City, often used as a starting position for training flights, as it is located in the middle of the Atlantic. It does not serve as an entrance.

Cystadleuaeth
A race in which clan members and dwarves compete together against other teams.
DHA (Dynol heb aelodaeth)
Non-Cymdeithas-Member. In a broader sense, all humans who know nothing about the cymdeithas and do not yet belong to it. Typically, every DHA eventually becomes a CM (Cymdeithas member). There are three ways to become one: 1) The time is ripe for it. 2) The time must be ripe for it. 3) Time is irrelevant; DHA simply becomes CM.
Dacw ‘Nghariad
A song used to initiate a jump to another location. The singer climbs on a tree or chair or a table, some elevated surface, sings the song and jumps down with a clear destination in mind. Mostly used by students who completed year four.

Dwarves
The dwarves inhabit the instruments that clan members tend to carry with them wherever they go. Each dwarf serves a member for a lifetime and after the passing away of the member are typically assigned to a new student. They live in a world parallel to ours, which can be accessed through the facilities of the Cymdeithas horn maker in Greenland.

Dwr Mawr (The Great Water)
Cymdeithas transportation system for long distances. Dwr Mawr terminals (entrances and exits) are mostly located in hangars and are usually staffed. Dwr Mawr can only be traveled in Dwr Mawr garments. Special Dwr Mawr garments also exist for dogs and cats. These garments are waterproof and dry immediately outside. A Dwr Mawr unit consists of: Terminal, Wardrobe, and Water Passage.
Elwuyn
Potion that allows one to overcome gravity. Primarily offered on orange juice or sheep milk basis, through an agreement with the Sylphs.

Cymdeithas verb meaning “to fly.”
Enertrans
Device developed by Tchar Lledrith, allowing him to distribute life energy, which he calls “pure pleasure,” to his foot soldiers. Simultaneously, a machine that allows him and his fellow Lledrith access to energies.
Unhopement
Process invented by Tchar to drain life energy from humans, giving him access to it. Sold to Mittletan and his associates as an apparatus for de-hoping, because workers without hope are better workers.
Fforiwr
A division of the Cymdeithas, also known as RRE. The Fforiwr are under the wise leadership of Flamur and instead of horns, they carry small saxophones that perform roughly the same functions as a normal horn. One can only become a Fforiwr after the first year of training; usually, Giselher coaches the Süüs. A Süü is an apprentice of the Fforiwr.
Fjereng
Card game of the Horn Dwarves. Highly addictive. This game is the main way Dwarves earn advantages for the Cystadleuaeth. And it’s what they do when they have nothing else to do, which is rarely the case. But they play it a lot anyway.
Fnöldür Tavern
Pub in Bjechtra, whose architecture gained international attention because it was built over a stream that flows through the building. Famous for its fried parsley roots with tarragon sauce.
Hedfanwr
Device used in flight training by the Achubiad. It has several difficulty levels and often causes injuries and sprains. Also known as trust training or dessert flight system.
Heriwr
The Provoking department. They specialise in finding weaknesses in other people and then tickle them until the clan members know their true Flooring status.
Hud
Welsh for Magic. Magic in the Cymdeithas is always used for the well-being and health discovery of humanity. Applications include magical anatomy, which the Cymdeithas member can use to display sections of the body: just the bones, just the liver, etc.
Lechmyi
Potion that makes breathing unnecessary. Also known as the Great Ventilator. Prepared according to a recipe of the Mediterranean Undines. Usually handed out by the Morcyfeillgar or the Achubiad.
Meridian
Channels in the human life body through which cosmic energy, Chi, or Prana flows. Supply the body with life force.
Morcyfeillgar (Sea People)
A separate species that lives in the world’s oceans. A very dance-loving and happy people. Known for its musicians. Lives in colonies mostly near the coast.
Morcyfeillgarsch
Language of the Morcyfeillgar. Quite difficult to learn because every other word in the language is missing.
Mudras
Hand and finger positions. Common form of healing activation in Ayurveda.
Mynedfa
A transportation method of the Cymdeithas that, in collaboration with the dwarves, can establish direct connections between any spatial coordinates. Exists as a levitating variant that is size-adjustable. Normally, it can only be used from the fifth year of study, but it has been released by the faculty for first graders because the missions required it.
Neidio oddiar rywbeth
A transportation method of the Cymdeithas in which one jumps from an elevation while singing a Welsh song called Dacu ‘Nghariad. Often abbreviated as N.O.R.
Nine Corners
Restaurant and bar in Achubiad City, founded by Rohit to unite architecture and gastronomy. The Nine Corners has nine terraces leading to the nine pearls of Töubi, the Georgian, using Mynedfa technology.

RRD
Revelation Research and Development Department in the Cymdeithas dedicated to exploring the endless world of ideas, matter and space. Led by Flamur. Members of this department are called Fforiwr.
Pobol Awyr
The People of the Sky. Inhabit Ty awyr and have important tasks related to the world.
Polarization
A means used by the Lledrith to divert Cymdeithas members from their true intentions. Commonly known as brainwashing. The process is initiated by strong magnet coils and various Lledrith technologies.
RSC (Relative Space Condenser)
A means of travel consisting mostly of doors, connecting two or more places. Cannot be used over long distances. Often has a stone with which one can define the arrival location.
Siaraduon
Subspecies of unknown origin. Bred in Egypt and specialised in languages. They serve as official translations. Multicoloured. Can dematerialise on command. Often begin to perform choral works spontaneously in groups (mostly Bach, Vivaldi, and Brjath, composer of dwarf music).

Süü
Every department of the Cymdeithas is looking for young talent. Certain departments have representatives who examine the Meddyg students for their Süü potential. A Süü typically is an apprentice of the Fforiwr in the RRD department. For example, Giselher oversees this work at the Fforiwr, while Giulia personally handles it at the Artistiaid.
Taithwr allanol
Transport system of the Cymdeithas. Only applicable to students from the second year onwards. Allows one to physically bridge any distance in the universe in the same time segment.
Taithwr mewnol
Transport system of the Cymdeithas. Only applicable to students from the fourth year onwards. Allows one to travel into consciousness, into the thoughts and sensory world of other beings.
Tchar
One of the seven Regents of the Lledrith. Responsible for the Anglo-Arabic cultural space. Directly subordinate to Chandrith. Considered a role model by many young Lledriths due to his ruthlessness. Masters the ancient way, which allows him to possess human bodies with their help, enabling him to exert influence in the world. Has his office in the upper part of Tschrak, where he designed the devilish Enertrans and Enthoff apparatuses.
Tschrak
Headquarters of the Lledrith. Castle near a Norwegian fjord. Consists of a visible lower part and an invisible upper part. The upper part is exclusively available to advanced Lledrith; the young Lledrith (applicants) inhabit the lower part of the castle. Also called Lledrith Castle. Ruled by Chandrith. Seat of Tchar (when he was still among us).
Ty Awyr
The House of Heaven. A dimension inhabited by the Pobol Awyr. Can only be discovered, must not be made known through foreign aid.
Ty Bwyta
A Cymdeithas restaurant with four levels, located in the Brazilian rainforest. Accessible via Dwr Mawr and considered one of the Cymdeithas’s pearls. The food served at Ty Bwyta always has a health-stimulating effect, as it is prepared in consultation with the Pobol Awyr. One of the chefs at Ty Bwyta is Rupert Smith. The levels are as follows:
Flora Level on the forest floor
Canopy Level-in the trees of the rainforest
Water Level on the lakes of the rainforest
Secret Level only for students from the 3rd year
Vortex naw
One of nine whirlpools at the edge of time. Used by certain Cymdeithas members to prepare for the Cystadleuaeth. On the other side of the whirlpool, time turns into space, so that a spatially existing being drifts in the whirlpool because it cannot become what it already is. Vortex naw is the slowest whirlpool. Vortex un is the fastest. Only Ali, the founder of the Achubiad, has been able to ride vortex un.
